Wauconda couple starting kids book business

Wauconda residents Shawn and Christine Currie will soon launch Lookio Books, a customizable children's book business that became feasible when a Kickstarter campaign yielded more than $3,000 in three days. "We saw that the competition wasn't capitalizing on the Internet and social media, so we made a concentrated effort to develop those relationships," Shawn Currie said.
